Traveller from Aberdeen stayed in June,2010

I have travelled to the UAE extensively over the last 5 years and have always used the Millennium Hotel when in Abu Dhabi, so I thought that the standard would reflect this globally and so booked the one in Glasgow
I was very disappointed with my room, (ironically room 101) the room its self was OK however the roar from the generator outside my window had a lot to be desired! Our hot water tap didn’t work properly and thought we may have to have cold showers, there was also a nail protruding through the worn carpet next to the TV cabinet
We ordered toast at night, it took around 40min top arrive and when it did, the toast had been burnt and then the charcoal bits scraped off and presented to us…not very good, it was only toast!!
I would say that the Hotel its self is in a prime location, however the standards seem to be very poor…maybe I had have had a bad experience but will think twice about booking on-line, its seems when doing this you are allocated a room that none else would want
To conclude, I did make my self heard at reception and the staff did offer to relocate us to another room, but for only staying 2 nights and having a rushed trip it seemed hardly worth it…this should have never of happened in the first place
Rant over!!!
Top Tip:
Great location..make sure your room is great also
Stay clear of Room 101
